1-Sceptical-Not easily convinced;having doubts or reservations.
2-Meme-Any idea,phrase,image or aspect of culture that spreads from person to person, usually via conversation or social media
3-Information-(As opposed to data)Facts provided or trends learned about something or someone,often as a result of studying data.
4- Fiction-(Adj.fictional)An idea or a story that is made-up,not a depiction of real of it
5-Twitter-An online social network that allows users to post messages containing no more than 140 characters
4 Things you can do to check if it is fake news
1-answer yourself these question (Is this story making me angry? Am I hoping this story is true?)
2-See if it is on a different site (If it is on a talk-radio show/ A gossip site or a online newspaper it is probably FAKE)
3-Analyse the pictures (Google the photo to see if it is FAKE)

ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting topic choice - and very important these days to make sure we are fact-checking anything we see online! I really liked the way you have included some other websites for people to go to to check their information, and the fact that you included a glossary as well.
One thing I would like to see you try is adding more pictures to your blog posts - perhaps you could think of some ways to include some images in amongst your writing, to make your posts more eye-catching?

I was interested in all the facts in your fake news story, where only the headline is fake. Apart from the headline, how you could have made the article more fake?
